We are currently recruiting for the following career:
Accounting Assistant
What does the position include?
- Perform various accounting functions such as, reconciliations, transaction processing, verification, and control.
- Perform payroll accounting functions including setting up new employees, and periodic tax reporting.
- Maintain records of financial information and provide reports to users required.
- Assist with Credit Union investments and reconcile internal payments for compiling year to date investment income and accruals.
- Produce month end financial reports and other related reports as required.
- Maintain and process, accounts receivables, accounts payable, prepaid, and fixed asset transactions.
- Prepare documents and files for month end and year end financial statements, and related reports as requested.
What kind of experience are we looking for?
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of payroll, and data processing.
- Working knowledge of Credit Union software programs (eroWORKS) and systems. ** preferrable but not required**
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word software programs.
